Claire Stroebel

Hi! My name is Claire and I'm the latest culture writer on the team here at Paint the Town. I'm a young at heart mum who's just gone back to university to study creative writing; part of a life long dream. My decision to join the team here is in support of that dream, because I need as much practice as possible in as many areas as possible. I've never written journalistically before and I feel that it's a necessary step in the right direction.

I fell in love with books early on, with my mother filling the house with anything and everything she read. I read broadly and for hours on end, knowing that what I wanted more than anything else was to see my name on the cover of a book as soon as possible.

It didn't happen as soon as I would like, but I filled my life with other experiences. I feel that now that I have a better understanding of the world; writing a book sooner would not have worked out as well.

I still pursue other interests to keep me on my toes. I like to box, knit, paint, sing, play viola, play video games, listen to music, to name a few.
